The fifth generation Honda Civic was produced from 1992-1995, it was first introduced in July of 1991.  The new Civic had a more wedge shape body and the length was increased to 101.3 inches (257 cm) on the 2-door hatchback, while the 4-door sedan saw an increase to 103.2 inches (262cm).  Renamed the VX, the old HF model was brought back which was the most fuel efficient model sold at the time.  The Si was built with a VTEC valve train while the VX was built with a VTEC-E in the US market.  The Si model, however, was referred to as an SiR in the Canada market, due to the name already being used for the highest trim leve in Canada which was equivalent to the US EX model.

The Honda Civic DX was the base model of the fifth generation, it was equipped with manual windows, a defroster, and power brakes.  The LX model had some added features including; AM/FM cassette player, cruise control, wheel covers on the 14-inch (360 mm) wheels, and finally powered windows, locks, and mirrors.  On the EX model Civic, added a VTEC engine, an upgraded stereo, deluxe wheelcovers, and a powered sunroof, while the SiR and VTi models had most of this, they didn't recieve powered windows or locks.

In 1994, the Civic EG recieved a facelift, although it was just minor updates and changes the exterior look did remain the same.  In the UK market, the Civic EG was given Anti-Lock brakes and rear brake discs.  It was also given a larger one piece rear spoiler as well as color coded front air ducts, the interior of the vehicle was changed from a grey color to a charcoal color, and the model was also equipped with an LSD gear box.

With a Turbo installed in your Honda Civic, you can see an increase in performance with the use of your exhaust.  A Turbo will increase your hp on your engine without robbing any energy.  The Turbo will provide the extra performance gradually, instead of right away, which is an advantage to light weight vehicles.  A Turbo has to be operated properly though, you can find more on Turbo operation in "General Info on Turbocharger (Turbo) Operation", to prevent damage to your engine and turbo.
