The Acura Integra third generation car was released in 1994.  It had a four headlight design on the front end, which was unusual and called "bug eyes" by some.  The B18B1 engine increased to 142 HP, while the GS-R received the B18C1 engine, it was equipped with a dual-stage intake manifold with a displacement increase of .1 liters (1.7-1.8) which brought the power up to 182 HP.  In 1998, the Integra was redesigned after the release of the new Type-R.  In Japan the Integra was redesigned with two conventional looking headlights, due to the "bug eyes" look being unpopular, though outside Japan the redesign had only a slightly revised version of the four headlight front.

The Acura Integra Type R model was added for the model year 1995 in Japan and 1997 in other countries.  Powered the JDM B18C Spec-R (B18C5) engine, which was a highly tuned, hand finished variant of the GS-R's engine, it produced 197 HP.  Although it's rev limit was impressive, its maximum torque output was only 133.8 lb-ft at 7500 RPM requiring it to be revved high to achieve the best performance.

The Integra SJ (Sedan Joyful) was a Civic Ferio just simply rebadged, it had modified headlights and grille which was similar to the Orthia's with slightly larger rear lights.  The Integra SJ was produced from 1996 - 2001 and had a 1493 cc D15B engine.  The Integra SJ was intended to provide a "formal sedan" at the price for an Integra and may have also been to sell Ferios using a more up market model name.  In Thailand the Integra SJ was sold as the Isuzu Vertex, which was the last passenger car sold for that market.

With a Turbo installed in your Integra, you can see an increase in performance from the turbo with the use of your exhaust.  A Turbo will increase the HP on your engine without robbing any energy.  The Turbo will provide the extra performance gradually to your Integra, instead of right away, which is an advantage to light weight vehicles.  A Turbo has to be operated properly though, you can find more on "General Info on Turbocharger (Turbo) Operation" in another article on our website, to prevent damage to your engine and turbo.
